Special Investor Pass Aims to Attract More Foreign Investment Into Malaysia
Starting April 1, Malaysia has introduced a special investor pass. The pass makes it easier for foreign investors and expatriates to enter and stay in the country.
How Does the Special Investor Pass Help?
With the special investor pass, foreign investors will be able to stay in Malaysia for up to six months, with the option to extend for another six months. The pass also includes a multiple-entry visa, making travel in and out of the country more convenient during the period.
Before the pass existed, foreign investors were limited to short-term social visit passes, which only lasted between 14 and 90 days, depending on the visitor’s nationality. Not very helpful if you had to be in the country to start your own business, even with 3E Accounting helping you.
Well, thankfully, there is now a solution to that problem. The special investor pass is a clear improvement, offering more time and flexibility for those involved in business and investment activities.
Applications can be submitted through the Xpats Gateway, and more information is available on the official website. The goal is to streamline the entry process and encourage long-term investment by making Malaysia more accessible to key international business players.
